living large at northgate mall

This evening we decided to live like the high rollers that we are and we headed over to Northgate Mall for a little post-dinner fun.  Poor Northgate Mall, the stepchild of the Triangle malls with its random collection of stores and its not-quite-busy-enough-to-feel-totally-comfortable traffic.  But it has a lot going for it–how we love the bouncy house, the carousel (brown pony, white horse were the kids’ choices tonight), the photo booth, and even the D.Q. there.  How we love being able to park right in front of the main mall entrance if we choose.  How we love the door handle at the Sears entrance that was apparently installed upside down as that is the only way that anyone could read the letters

There are plenty of other malls around if one wants the upscale stores and the lovely decor, but for a true slice of Durham-a-cana, Northgate in the evening can’t be beat.
