if you can’t make it out of cardboard,

we don’t want it in our house.  It started innocently enough with the large collection of boxes in the sun porch that I had been too lazy to break down and recycle.  w. and a friend found them and scattered them around the backyard on a sunny day. The next day, we were taping the boxes shut and building towers with them in the dining room.

And then there were pirate boats to be made out of shoeboxes.

And finally, rocket ships to be created at 7:15 in the morning.  (Ours, admittedly, is not quite as “svelte” as Martha’s).

What next?  Cardboard food?  Cardboard clothes?
